We are excited to announce that Tory Wilson has joined the Corporate staff as Vice President of Florida programs. Tory holds an MSW from Florida State University and comes to Neighbor To Family from DCF in Tallahassee with over twenty-two years of child welfare experience. Tory’s experience spans Adoptions, Foster Care, Investigations, Licensing, Eligibility, Independent Living, and Behavioral Health. During her time with DCF, Tory most recently focused on the “Integration of Child Welfare and Behavioral Health” initiatives, participating in the development of the integration self-study, peer review, and action planning process across the state. She also joined review teams assessing Community Based Care lead agency performance during contract oversight monitoring and risk pool visits. In addition, Tory has created and revised child welfare policy in both the state and private, non-profit settings. Please extend a warm Neighbor To Family welcome to Tory Wilson. – James Akins, Chief of Staff, Neighbor To Family, Inc.

Despite an unexpected snowstorm in the Atlanta area, our 13th annual Children’s Holiday Party on December 10, 2017 went off without a hitch. With the help of our community partners at Stars and Strikes, almost 200 children and their accompanying adults were treated to lunch, bowling, bumper cars, laser tag, arcade games, face painters, balloon twisters, party games, family photos, and much more. Every child left with a stuffed holiday stocking and a huge smile. The wonderful folks at Stars and Strikes are always so kind to us, and this year the owners donated $1000 in Target gift cards for our kids. An amazing time was had by all! – Jody Howard, Director of Education and Support Services, NTF-Georgia
